It cost only $13 in vinyl wrap and I still have plenty left. The silver clashed with the aftermarket pioneer system and made the interior look like a late 70s rx7 interior. I couldn't stand it. The wrap is called gold forged carbon.
Like music, to each his own.
You did a great job on installing and DIY video. IMO not a fan of the color finish.
Yeah I wanted something that would bring the two-tone together. Maybe less gloss would have been better. I just didn't want to go with the standand carbon fiber. The awesome thing is it's so reversible. Just pill it off and start with a different pattern. I just like that it looks a little closer to the 997.2 which is an improvement.
Like the concept, don't love the vinyl chosen as those color splashes look like air bubbles. Took me watching the video to actually see what I thought were bubbles were actually designed into the wrap material itself.
It looks pretty good other than the pattern, for me at least. I found it very easy to use SEM trim spray and make it black like the 997.2 and I suggest swapping out the temp and fan switches, easy to do and $30 from amazon. Perfect fitment and looks like new.

Yeah I thought about doing that too, but I was worried it wasn't reversible in case I hated it. I might still do that in the future!
Yep I had it on order but was impatient. The new fan button is installed now!

True, can always remove wrap luckily. Painting wasn't bad, getting the buttons out was a bit wonky but simple once you do the first one. For painting, if you do it, I think I had a write up here somewhere but basically just a light sanding with 200-300 grit sandpaper if I recall, wipe down with alcohol and let dry. Then 12 very very very light coats of the spray paint. I can't even scratch it with my nail.
