Yep, I live in south florida and would never buy a porsche down here unless it was new from champion or a one owner guy who babied it with 4 other super cars. It's scary down here.

Probably got scared off. Had their heart set on the car, paid for a PPI. Suspected the results said what we think they do and is irritated by the whole mess. I would be. Sucks buying a Porsche sometimes. I paid for 3 PPI's before I bought my first car. That was close to $1,000 before a single dollar changed hands for a car. Ironically, the last PPI I paid for was the cheapest and the car was in such good shape, all they really had to to was take pictures of the tiny superficial aesthetic dings. I paid a premium for that car though.
I did 3 PPI's and 2 Bore Scope Inspections at $1250 last year before finding my current 2006 C4.
Not fun to spend that extra cash but well worth it in the end.

You haven't seen "SWEET" until you move out or shop out west and own California Cars. Nothing like it.
Even cars from AZ can have badly damaged/warping interior trim/dash from the extreme heat.
