Default 997 Widebody wheel fitment

I want to change my OEM 18" Carrera wheels on my 2008 C4 Cab (widebody). Opportunity to get "little used" OZ 20" wheels already fitted with Conti Sport Contacts in sizes 245/30-20 Front and 325/25/20 Rear.
Everything I looked at appears to say they will work with no modifications. Anybody that's done this ? Thoughts?

The tire size will work (will be a slightly oversized tire for the 997), but without knowing the wheel widths and offsets there is no way to determine if they will fit.

These should work, the overall diameter of the tires will be larger (about 1/4 inch in the front and almost 1/2 an inch in the rear) and may mess with the AWD. Perhaps someone else can comment on that.

If going 325 I would go with 12” wheels.

There are lots of threads on this, “Widebody wheel fitment 997 Rennlist” into Google.

I run a 255/35-19 on the front with an 8.5" et 50 offset wheel so the front and rear tire circumferences with the 325/30-19 rears are the same. My rears are 12".

Rears tuck into the fenders perfectly when car is on the wheels - don't have that pic as I've only run this setup for a short time and doing some other work on the car at the moment.

20" on a 997 to me look goofy ..... You don't need 20's ....Besides as mentioned the size may not be optimal for the 4s ....

Totally Agree. I've never seen a 20" wheel setup on a 997 that wouldn't have looked better (and performed better) if done with a 19". I totally missed the part about them being 20s and was only focused on the tire widths. With 20s and those tire widths, you'll also be driving on rubber bands to keep the rolling circumference close to the same as stock.

For reference, I recently installed new wheels with GT2/GT3 RS specs on my GTS (widebody):

9x19 et47 245/35
12x19 et48 325/30

IMO, they fit and fill the wheel wells perfectly with no spacers. Use these specs relative to what you are considering and you can get a rough sense of whether the wheels will fit. I agree with others that you should avoid 20's due to the low aspect ratio you need to run.

They are custom forged wheels made by Augment Wheel Company (https://www.augmentwheels.com/). Mine are their Fuch-ish Flat wheels with bronze brushed centers and clear brushed lips. Total cost was about $4,600 + shipping and it took almost 4 months to build. Build time might be less now. Contact them to get a quote for your set. They can do almost any style, spec, color, and finish you want.
