I attended in June, did not purchase the car wash package but I stopped by the wash crew one afternoon and they worked my car into their schedule during dinner. They did a great job and it was done when we came out of the lodge from dinner... gave them a nice tip! Bring cash.

+1 for Tellico Grains Bakery.
Its in old town Tellico Plains. on Depot St. They have really great baked pastries, and then sandwiches and pizza. All from a wood burning oven. Its better than most bakeries in asheville or atl.

Wish I was going...family obligations. I went to Rennsport for the first time in June. Very enjoyable and well put together event. I highly recommend it. I will be back for the 2023 spring Rennsport.

just to let you guys know, I am a local to the dragon and i was up there this weekend. I ran the Cherohala Skyway, then cut across and did the Dragon on the way home. There were 2 separate accidents that we got caught up in and sat for awhile until they were able to get the road open again. Seems to be a pretty common occurence these days up there. Also, there is an increased police presence up there. And a reminder, the road has a 35mph speed limit on most of the run. Many people do well over that. If you go and want to go that fast, you may as well have your lawyer on speed dial, or risk losing your license. Be careful and be safe!

Unfortunately not. I'm aiming for the June run.

 

Shell Gas in Lexington around 11 EST is one of the targeted meeting points. Not sure I can drag my son out of bed to get there that early but we'll give it our best. The address is 1907 Plaudit Pl. in Lexington.

 

Very excited for the event! It looks like a few CLT drivers are going to meet up at 489 River Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28117 Starbucks Thursday at 11:30 and roll out from there. My wife and I are going to try and make that work. Tire shopping now as I know this event will likely take the last of the life out of my current rubber. Well worth it!
