Have you found the Senor in the engine compartment yet? Were you driving near the border?
Any engine lid noise when he crawled in?

I found him sweating back there. Btw, that's a definition of a "dad" joke dude.
If I can edit the thread title let me know how, cuz I don't know how to.

Reading this thread made me go outside and check my 2008 C4S and take some photos.
In the first photo you can see the wiring and top of the plug on the right (passenger) side of the car.
In the second photo I really jammed the phone in there and you can now clearly see the senor.
I hope that this helps.
Scott

^^Check your coolant level I think it's too high. Senor doesn't look sweaty enough.

Thanks brotha, but the 997.2 doesn't look like your engine bay. I think that's why I can't find it, although another member said 997.2's sensor is on the driver side.

I guess I will wait until someone posts a photo of the sensor location on a 997.2.

So, it IS on the passenger side. Well, that would explain my fan issue cuz mine is missing. But, I can't find the damn sensor or the wiring ??? THANKS Campbesl!

Thunder
I have an 09 .2 and my engine compartment looks the same as yours, empty mounting pad on the passenger side with what looks like the temp sensor mounted on the driver side.

Yeah, it's a mystery for the Dot 2 owners. According to the PET there is suppose to be the temp sensor engine bay (#29) on the passenger side between the intakes for cylinder 5 & 6 (which correspondences with my photo above depicting the empty mounting pad with blue arrows), but yeah there is another sensor with a grommet on the driver's side between the intakes as well.

Phrog Phlyer, are you experiencing deck fan issues?
