Finally, officially a Porsche 911 997.1 C2S owner!!
Pretty special moment for me. I remember when I first fell in love with cars I was ~10 years old and I'll never forget seeing a 993 911 GT2. It will always be my dream car and unobtainable being they're over $1m+.
I have owned a ton of cars, ranging from a 1971 VW Bus, to a 94 Miata, to a 2019 Ford Raptor. A few years back, I sold my 2019 Raptor to get a 2014 Gen 1 Raptor to modify and build up but ultimately free up some budget to own both the raptor and another weekend/track car.
Well finally a 20+ year old dream came to reality(sort of), I bought a 2006 911 997.1 C2S 6sp Coupe with factory PSE and factory Sport short shifter!!
I am excited to family join the Porsche Family! Thank you all for this forum and all your posts over the past years to help me learn about what to look for when purchasing, modifying, baby seats, etc!!!
Future plans for the car, keep in mind its a 3rd vehicle for mountain driving and occasional track days
Exterior/Performance:
Coilovers- between b16s or ohlins road & track
DSC Controller
Full replacement of brakes/rotors
Wheels + Tires
Gt3 front bumper
3rd Radiator
Rear spoiler - ducktail or gt3 aero
Interior
Alcantara steering wheel + gt3 shifter + Center console + ebrake
Apple car play head unit
I do not see a need for much else as the exhaust screams when you're WOT, has the factory short shifter, and don't plan on any engine modifications.
I do videos for fun and I will be doing a ton with the new car, from delivery, first detailing, track days, etc.
I took delivery last week..during a snow storm but I am excited nonetheless.
Thanks for reading and can't wait for spring!

Congratulations!
I bought my black 2005 C2S 6MT almost six years ago. Absolutely love it. Not a DD though. Steadily progressing from all street to mostly track, but I haven’t gone completely mad (yet).
Got the Ohlins R&T three years ago and had the car lowered about 20mm, which I think looks much better than having that fender gap. Subjective of course. Definitely has improved handling to me
I had PCCBs but now converted to steel - Girodisc rotors and Ferodo pads. No track time yet to comment.
Also just got new wheels and tires. Highly recommend looking at Apex for their wheels and advice. Great resource and value. I got their SM10’s. Tires are Continental/Hoosier Extreme Contact Force (200tw). Had Michelin PS4S before and liked them too. Lobsters are off except winter.
Added third radiator a few years ago and it helps keep oil cooler especially in Sport Mode while on track. Just changed to 71C thermostat to also help for hot track days.
Expecting delivery of Ford Ranger in a month. Not a Raptor but a brother at least.
Hope all goes well and you enjoy this incredible car. Rennlist is a fantastic source of information for anything under the Porsche sun.
Cheers!

I have shipped many cars open container and have paid a little extra($100) to have car transported on top of carrier - I tip driver when it arrives on top.
Keeps the road grime off but more importantly prevents the oil/brake/transmission leaks/drips from getting on your paint from the cars above when car down on lower rack.

Another tip, on all four wheels, the sharp end of your wheel cap crest should point to the tyre valve, your lock lug should be in that position too.
It is written.
If you know, you know.
