Default Is this a crazy DME report?

I am looking at purchasing this car. The current owner provided this DME report, which was done 3,000 miles ago or so. Car is currently around 95k miles. Is this an extreme amount of over-revs? I am not sure of the 3 of hours on the car currently, but these were all at least 3k miles ago.

This report has 11 over revs in range 5 which is not the greatest news but since they were from a while ago I think you might be ok.
Usually there may be 1 in range 5 or 6 due to a blip from battery or similar but 11 seems high

**Id wait for more experienced wrench to chime in.
Also that report is old--->Don't buy without doing your own PPI/DME/Bore scope Inspection.

Based on the overrevs history the current owner regularly bounces the car off the rev limiter. You definitely want a new overev report to see what he's added most recently. Those range 5s were definitely a money shift but are long enough ago that the engine wasn't damaged.

This car needs a through ppi to get the current DME report and also look for worn suspension components like top mounts, LCA bushings, rotor condition, etc from the track use it's seen.

I hadn't seen one with ~40k ignitions before and wasn't sure if that was a major red flag. How many ignitions would one estimate to occur in a single bounce off the rev limiter, as if someone were on track and didn't shift in time?

At redline, you should expect around 350 ignition events per second based on quick maths

Needless to say this car hasn't been driven gently and given the DME numbers it's almost impossible to rule out extensive tracking imo. And given the history provided, if I was the buyer I would insist on finding out what the car has been through over the 3,000 miles since the DME readings you have were printed. A good PPI by a reputable indy or a dealership will give you the answers.

Just my opinion but a DME printout 3,000 miles ago on a car that was driven this hard is next to useless.
