My indy is just around the corner from my office. Saw this car just before hibernation last fall and then today, making me believe that it’s a driver. Rare car indeed.
Cool! Very rare find in the wild…last time I saw one was about 25 years ago at a BMWCCA event at Lime Rock with my Dad as a kid.
I used to have a poster of an M1 in my room growing up.
I saw a rare car this weekend too. Arguably more than a m1. I bet you never ever heard of this brand or model lol.
the car ford built in Germany to ship back to the us market. I present thee….
Not only have I heard of it, but had a friend in college that had one. He never realized it was 4 in the middle of the model name and thought it was an A. Called it a "Zerati" for the longest time until I realized he actually thought that's what it was and I informed him.
I think the body on the m is really easy to change when I was in high school a kids father had a pretty in depth bmw racing collection and had one of those parked and a spare racing body parked on top of a storage lift above. I heard it was a dog for a supercar but real cool looking.

LOL, same story here, except this was in High School.. Same thing about the model pronunciation... He felt dumb when I told him he's calling it the wrong thing.
yaaaaa. I have been trying to track it down but all the dealerships back then kept records via paper so there is no history on the transaction. Been looking for old photos that might have the VIN but so far no luck.

Never saw one like it before this picture of yours. Almost looks like a station wagon. Wonder how you get parts for such a rare car. Maybe it's not a driver but it's been sitting around waiting for parts. I say this since it's hard to get parts for newer cars these days. My wife's 2019 Buick convertible sat at the dealership for three weeks recently waiting for a simple radiator related part. At least they gave her a free loaner for the entire wait but what a waste for the dealership.
