Great choice that I should have mentioned in my earlier response. Had it on my -09 C4S and loved it. To the OP....Tubi comes complete with side cans and center muffler delete x-pipes so no need to mix and match. https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...SABEgKAIfD_BwE

Not the cheapest solution available for what you want but some who went with the cheaper solutions complained that it sounded...well, just cheap. Then again, some are happy with the discount variations so to repeat, highly subjective.

Sounds good. I want to get a set of the topgear valved exhaust but they’ve been out of stock for quite awhile.

In my opinion, the best system to start freeing up some sound would be a Center Muffler bypass.
You'll get some small HP gains and a much more aggressive tone.

Dood, your car sounds good and looks good. Nicely done.

When I did my 2006 Carrera S, Budget wheighed heavily on my decision. I ended up with Armytrix High Flow 200CPI Catalytic Converter X-Pipe with Agency Power Headers feeding Porsche Sport Valved Mufflers.

I like the sound when not in sport mode, I do not notice a drone, but the expected wail over 3000 rpms. However in Sport Mode, Something is up in the 2500-3500 RPM range where it seems to cut out or just drop it's tone. Sport mode is a bit aggressive, so I use it when my ego needs it, but am conservative with it.

John

Also forgot to mention, my car is always throwing codes on the cat sensors now. I can clear with Durametric, some time they stay off for awhile, others they code quickly - Help anyone?

You can just gundo your mufflers, put a valve in the bypass pipe, then use the same tubing/changeover valve/control box to achieve the same thing. Or if you want to keep yours stock there’s a set for sale in the classifieds right now. The TopGear system sounds identical to factory PSE, ie it’s still only a small change from stock even with a center bypass and I bet a valved gundo would be very similar. The cats are where the sound gains are to be made but if you then have valved mufflers you can make it quiet at the touch of a button.

@scadams Have you had any CEL problems with the iPE headers?

Not really. I got it with 200 cell cats. Only time it's happened was for a couple of days when it was below freezing outside. It resolved itself though. It was just the bank 2 post-cat O2 sensor being temperamental. On my OBD2 reader it showed one of the voltage readings was low for that sensor IIRC. Can't remember which. Other than that, never.

Couldn't agree more. Too many stories here and elsewhere from people buying new side mufflers or modifying the original ones while leaving the center muffler alone and being disappointed. Both the side cans and the center muffler need to be addressed to freeing up the sound imo.

Thank you! I bought a factory switch panel with the PSE button but could not find the pins to connect it to the wiring harness so I control the muffler valves with my unused Homelink buttons. I also have the fobs that came with the valved muffler system but the Homelinks are easy enough to program.

Sandwedge is 100% right.
The center muffler is nothing but a restrictive lard can. Get rid of it.

Tubi side mufflers coupled with a rear crossover. Perfect for a 997.2

Any video/sound clip guys? I am not replacing the headers. Only the three mufflers.

Yup. That center muffler makes for a good boat anchor and for ruining whatever money you spend on new or modified side mufflers. And (as I know I've said before) you're spot on about Tubi for the 997.2. Had it on my -09 C4S and loved it. Nice thing about it is that you get it all in one package. New side mufflers and crossover pipes, all in one box. Sound is hard to beat.
