Default BOVEE 1000 KIT - Will it work?

Hi gang,

My Firefly is cutting in and out and making high pitch sounds.

I'm wondering if this Bovee 1000 kit that includes the cable will work for my 2011. This kit does not specifically say Porsche but it is for Audi.

BTW I just got back to driving my 911 in NC after being gone for 5 months. What amazing cars these are!

Thanks!

You need the bovee unit that has a 30 pin connection, not one with the Audi proprietary cable.

works good in my 997.2 with the aux in. 2% of the time I have to unplug it to recognize my phone but otherwise zero issues.

I ordered a Bovee for my 2010 with the Y connection and it should arrive in a day or two. Is this the correct one?

that looks like it will work

this is the one I have but I do have the "universal audio upgrade " aka ipod upgrade (30 pin)
the Bovee just inserted where the ipod did.

Amazon Amazon

happy listening,
2009 997.2 4s

The Y cable that comes from Porsche connects within the armrest to the USB port (power) and the 9-pin port (music). The one you're buying looks like it connects to the USB and the Aux input. I assume it will work but you will need to select Aux, not Ipod, from PCM "source". Good Luck.

I love my Bovee. Like @kellen, once in a blue moon I will have to unplug and replug it in so it talks to my phone, but that's it.

Highly recommended.

You definitely want to get the one that connects with the 30 pin so you get the iPod integration with folder navigation, track display and advance using the buttons. It will also display Spotify track names and allow track advance from the HU with Spotify, etc.

OK gang,

Bovee 1000 it is.

I will buy the correct cable from Suncoast.

I no longer recommend the firefly!

Thank you very much!

Waze audio warnings also come thru car speakers when connected to the UAI, that's a nice feature if the phone isn't mounted in a visible spot.

Mine works well on the 997.2 with Bose stereo. Sometimes i don't get the Ipod icon to appear on the screen and have to play music as AUX. If i unplug and replug in the bovee then it corrects itself.

I can't recommend the BOVEE 1000. Yes, it connects reasonably quickly, but the audio constantly cuts out.

In order to avoid the audio cut outs, I had to keep my phone disconnected from the PCM

If your phone is already connected to the PCM why would you need BT via Bovee ?
