Default Old User, New (to me) Car (Cobalt C2S)

Good Morning All!

I had a 993 for about a decade from 2007-2017 (1995 Polar Silver cab)

Last year I picked up this car just before the pandemic, but didn't feel right posting considering the world.

Spec is a 2008 Carrera S Cabriolet, Cobalt Blue on Stone Grey, 6 speed manual, lobster claws, silver seatbelts, full leather, blue top, and other typical options. Picked up with just over 30k miles.

Since then I added the Dectane LED tail lights, BBS CH-R in grey with color matched centers, paint matched the door pulls and painted the rear center console cobalt blue.

PO had the dension and tint installed.

I just detailed it yesterday and thought it would be an appropriate time to post up, enjoy!

Congrats! Nice color and pup. PS: they’re called lobster forks. Get Function First engine mounts since your tips are sagging

Beautiful car, love the color. I had my 993 from 05 - 17 so about the same time. How do they compare?

LMAO!

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

I think my tiPS are sagging because of a loose clamp. I had it adjusted a few weeks ago and don't think it held. PO had an aftermarket exhaust.

The 993 and 997 are similar enough to compare, but different enough that each one has its own benefits. The 997 is definitely more reasonable to use frequently.

The modern amenities are appreciated. By the end of my 993 ownership I only used it ~1500 miles a year, it was always too hot, too cold, too wet (mediocre climate control), etc.
