I’m looking at a 07 997 turbo. I’ve been told it has the evolution motorsports 700 tune. I’m just confused with the DME. I understand the time that increases the range 1 and possibly 2 ignitions, but don’t know why total operating hours are less than the hours since ignition in the different ranges. Any insight would be appreciated. Dme

Reason: Autocorrect screwed word
It's very possible that tune uses a piggyback DME instead of overwriting the OEM one in the car. Wharn tuners do that it completely throws off the DME data as it starts double counting every hour.
My car has a different situation where RUF actually installs a DME from a twin turbo 997 in order to have access to more tuning parameters related to the forced induction. So mine is off too because that TT must have been much higher mileage as you can see I have overrevs at hours that haven't even happened yet.
thanks for the info, I'm going to follow up with Evo, they have been very helpful so far, but i assume they would have told me if they did something like that. but your operating hours are still more than the ignition hours, mine is reversed.

Sorry, grabbed the wrong one. That's from my other 997.
This is the weird one from my RUF. Has Range 1 & 2 overrevs that exceed the total operating hours counter. Also, this car had about 35,000 miles on it when I grabbed this. Check out the total hours counter relative to the mileage - useless.
Thanks, that makes more sense. Can I be relatively comfortable the ignition data for the life of the engine is accurate? The seller is asking top dollar for the car and I can see this being an issue if I try to sell.

I know why mine is the way it is because I've talked directly to RUF about it. I don't know why yours is the way it is. I'd talk to the tuner and ask them. If they can explain it like it's a piggyback ECU then the hours are probably wrong but the rest of the data may be right.
