Another question, should I use this opportunity to replace my TPMS as well. As far as I know, they are original (2009). I am surprised they are still working, 11 years later!

A repair is the way to go. Even if you decide to sell them down the line it's better if they're true. I like the idea of powder. I've seen some good combinations with MGM on this board. I'd reserve buying new BBS or similar if the wheels are not repairable or if you want a different look or sizing.
Hula, there is a pic of my 4S in my Avatar. Isn't it displayed?

Just requested a profile (side) pic to get a better look of the wheels on the car. Others found it useful exploring different powder-coat colors using Photoshop. And an excuse to see another picture.

Sorry, I misunderstood you when you said profile. I was thinking my profile pic. Photoshop away! Wish I knew how to do it.

And sorry, I can not compete with your Rockies background!

If your TPMS are original to your '09, then you really got your money's worth. Definitely replace them now, while your tires are being dismounted and remounted.

I have a hard time believing they're original, though. 11 years is a really long life. My first one conked out at about 8 years, IIRC. There is a tool that can check the battery life on them. I don't know how accurate it is. Some tire places have them.

I guess the prior owner could have changed them before I purchased in 2014.

Now the hunt begins for a quality wheel repair shop.

Any comments on what color to Powder Coat? I like the Silver contrast against the gray, but thinking of heading in the gray direction. Also, I assume I should also have them do the lugs. Mine are a bit beat up, so may need to buy new ones.
Two references for you from my meteor gray -09 C4S. The silver ones are Champion RG5's and the black ones HRE P40's. Both sets are forged and each run about $6,000 for a set of four. I know that might cause another blackout for you (sorry) but just giving you some ideas of what different color wheels look like on a meteor car.

2009 C2S 157K miles

I took the opportunity to replace my TPMS... yes they were original... 11 years of perfect performance. I checked their battery life about 6-10 months ago and the Durametric reported each had "0" months life left... but they kept on working. Who knows how long the "0" value was present.

Read my thread above and others have posted where they got their HUF sensors..... I paid too much at TireRack but they could deliver overnight where others could not. Do this now so you can time the repair with the TPMS arrival. You can probably have the TPMSs sent directly to the repair shop... I did this with my new tires.

Peace

i was leaning towards a grayish gun metal color. But now that I have seen your black ones, I may go in that direction. I assume they will look better longer after a wash. Also, the red caliper looks good against the black.

Your rim style is the exact wheels I will get when I am ready to let go of the cash. Beautiful car and wheels!

thanks!

i read your post and I am ordering the HUF sensors - great price. I have heard prices way higher than even you paid. Thanks for sharing!

Why am I able to purchase what looks very similar to the $6,000 Champion wheels I like, for less than $2,000? What am I sacrificing?

It's flow formed instead of forged. Flow formed is better than low pressure cast but not as good as forged. It's still a high quality wheel. Note the prices on the HRE is $2k per wheel.
