Had some sudden misfires today on a drive I was on.
10 mins into journey, the car started running really rough when taking off from a light. It was a gentle acceleration when it happened, as the car had not fully warmed up yet.
I turned around right away and limped her back home.
A few mins later I got a CEL while heading back as well.
When I got home I shut the car down and scanned it with my POR II scanner.
it showed the 4 codes below.
I restarted the car again and the CEL was out and it ran just fine. I shut it down again, cleared the codes successfully.Took it out for a good drive for about 45 mins, and had no issues at all.
Is this something I should be worried about? Anything I can look into?
Thanks.

Misfires on all cylinders on one side has been the VVT solenoid for me. That's a relatively easy repair if you can take the rear bumper and exhaust off. I'm sure there are other possibilities too.
Good luck.
1, 3, & 5 involve both engine banks so you have to look at things shared by both. Bad gas, or stale gas, as suggested is one possibility, a bad or dirty MAF is another, as is a bad crankshaft position sensor or a new vacuum leak that developed somewhere.
Did you recently fill up with gasoline? Perhaps at a new gas station?
No, maybe that's the issue... The car has been sitting a bunch more than normal due to COVID. It's outside, but under cover. Maybe condensation in fuel? ;-) But why one side.. Then all good after a restart? It's weird.

Isn't 1, 3 and 5 all on the driver side?
Ya.. I was thinking vacuum leak too.. but after restart it went away.. ;-) I will keep driving and if it comes back, then there is something failing. ;-(

Thanks... I just had the exhaust off to install my new 200 CELL cats... Would be a drag to have to pull that out again... I assume the VVT would not throw it's own code hey?
On a US car, 1, 2, & 3 are bank one and on the driver's side (#1 is at the rear), 4, 5, & 6 are passenger side, with #4 at the rear.
No, a camshaft position sensor or variocam solenoid will not necessary throw their own CEL. When my camshaft position sensor went bad, it just read 0.0000 for camshaft deviation on that bank.

OK.... This is great info... I thought the cylinder order was totally different....
One thing I noticed when it was running rough ,when i got her home, I noticed that the exhaust "note" sounded almost like a "pop, pop, pop" sound from the right side outlet, the left side (driver) sounded normal.
EDIT: (Afterthought) Might be because there were two cylinders misfiring on the left side and only one on the right ;-)
If it happens again I will hook up my POR II as I am pretty sure I can see the variocam info in the live data... Will double check later today if I can see it live
That "popping" is the sound of the misfires, where fuel is going into the cylinders, but not being ignited, then lighting in the exhaust, which is the definition of the misfire.

wait, you did this and just after you experienced the problem.....am i missing something?
