Default 997 C4S valuation

Anyone want to weigh in on a reasonable valuation for this 2009 Speed Yellow C4S?

103K miles. Sport seats, Chrono, heated seats. Nicely optioned. Paint is excellent. Black Interior 8/10. One owner. All original. Clean Carfax.

High mileage, drivers seat has a lot of wear, yellow might limit buyers; I'd say $38-40 K. You need BigSwole to weigh in. He's our resident auction expert with the most wins on guessing prices on BringATrailer auction site.

I'm with @stripersteve , in fact I think we have pretty much the same build based on his profile pic and we've both recently bought. That's a load of miles, assuming it's a pdk and a very clean PPI, $40k would be a good deal for the seller. The miles would scare me off completely tbh.

In January, I bought a 09 C4S cab, pdk, launch edition, 107k. With all records from new, a new set of P4S, and a fresh service the sale price was $35k. Adding on the 3-4 differential for a coupe, and my guess would be 37-39 buys it. Don't be afraid of mileage (and the opinion of mileage snobs), these are very durable cars.

OK my 2c after spending 2 years searching before I bought. Standard or S model if it's over 100k miles, it's under 40k dollars unless it's rare in some way and there is a buyer looking for the combo. Even then 100k miles is a psychological barrier. When I was shopping a guy had a 2S manual with 106k miles sit on Autotrader for over a year until he dropped the price to $31k. His didn't have a lot of options so 30-39 depending on options and adds like new tires.

First thing you should do is get a Black leather shoe polish and use it on the drivers seat bolster and it will look like new.
Second is understand a PDK 103K mile 997 C4S is probably going to sell in the mid-$30's - Maybe $36-$37K if lucky and sunny day.
Add a few thousand if it was a manual.

Good luck with the sale.

Agree with everyone. Mid to high 30s if checks out, more if desirable options.

FWIW.....stopped by the dealership last week for a little chat with my sales buddy there. He follows Rennlist but doesn't post here. He says most who post on RL has the manual/PDK valuation backwards for the market as a whole. He told me PDK 911's always bring more money than manuals. Very few exceptions.

I believe it. This forum is made up mostly by enthusiasts where a typical dealership sells cars to a completely different mix of buyers. So yes, anyone who markets their manual 997.2 strictly on RL will probably get a premium over PDK all else being equal. Anyone marketing more broadly including a possible trade with a dealership should get more for a PDK than a manual based on all the evidence and statistics I've seen and heard including that from Porsche dealership sales reps.

no kidding! It is best to sell a manual on an enthusiast site like BAT vs. trade it in to a dealer. Plus, that gives one the added benefit of not having to deal with a typical dealer! I only give them my car if they will consign it for me.

4S coupes bring good money, even with high miles. $35k looks about right for a private sale. Trade-in is under $30k.

I like this even though I made the mileage snub. I don't think I'm a mileage snob per se but the 107k miles I might put on a car is a lot different than some of the miles others would put on it. LOL
