Gold wheels are in again, didn't you hear?

Now, where did I put all my square-bottomed knit ties and my linen sport coats?

Yep, it's all cyclical. In 10 or 15 years, black wheels will be in again too.

I prefer a brownish bronze to the gold but to each their own.

I agree, the bronze gold is nicer. Taste is subjective., I've always hated black wheels. I bought a used black 987 with black wheels. When I collected it I didn't even drive it home, took it straight round to my friends body shop to paint the wheels silver.

Yep, me too. Never understood why you'd pay all that money for high quality wheels with a spoke pattern you like then make them disappear in the dark wheel wells. Once you could spec black wheels on a new minivan and Chrysler made them standard on their 300, the fad was over.

IMHO Any color other than OEM Silver Wheels looks awful
Black wheels maybe some Teenager rice burner mindset at play?
Gold wheels perhaps longing to be Pimp in another life?
Tough to figer out

I’ve got stone gold HRE FF01s on order for my car. I may ask others their opinion before I make a decision to get their perspective but I don’t take design tips from them. I put a lot of effort and time into any decision I make and at the end of the day all that matters is that I’m happy with it. What others think is of no consequence to me.

But really Who the Fvck cares what other people think right?...Just opinions and I never give a rats *** what people think.
Just like music to each his own.
God forbid I had to listen to Country music all day.

Indeed, groovzilla. I've liked the satin black S2 wheels on my car since I had them painted. Satin finish was the only black finish I approved. Matte and gloss black have never really worked for my taste. They really darkened up the car and work well with the PRG. Something about PRG with silver wheels turns me off from PRG. Can't say definitively why, just that it does. I wanted a change now that I've transformed a good bit of the aesthetics of the car. I've seen many a modded car in my day and plenty of mods that weren't to my taste or just seemed odd, but at the end of the day they didn't effect me so there was no real reason to care. If they're happy with it, that's all that really matters. They have to see it everyday, not me.

Okay haters gonna hate but me & my son (who picked the colour) are loving the pictures of our wheels from the Porsche shop we got today!

We think they look amazing & are excited to see them on the car later this week or early next week. (The last picture is the sample rim he selected the colour from)
