You're probably aware those wheels are aftermarket. Not necessarily anything wrong with that, but the airbag is also aftermarket. Would not run that...

 

don’t buy aftermarket steering wheels, period.

airbags are inexpensive enough new ($800 or so) for a critical safety item to risk anything.

for a time there were cheap $300-400 ebay airbags floating around and turns out those were discovered as “fake” and who knows what that means in the case of an accident.

 

Any thoughts on how well Luxor Beige matches Sand Beige? Trying to decide which way to go for a 991.2 steering wheel in a sand beige interior.

This looks like the wheel in my soon to be car. Looks like you painted the spokes black? Anyone know if a multi function wheel can be added to the car? Maybe the wiring and support from the head unit isn't in place in these models?

 

It looks like an Alcantara wheel with black plastic parts. I believe Suncoast does sell the multifunction elements for these wheels. I put a similar wheel on my 07 turbo, but it's a leather wheel, not Alcantara.

Had this same wheel in my old '83 SC and I forgot how much I loved it. I'm 6'4" and seats all the way back so it's nice having the wheel be just that much closer to me now.
