Default 997.2 PCM screen upside down

Title explains it all. Left work and it’s upside down. Turned car off and still is occurring.

Next step to pull fuse and/or disconnect battery. Haven’t read about this issue on the forums.

Will update with a fix if it happens otherwise appreciate any assistance.

Tried PCM reset through the screen, pulling fuse and letting sit for 5 minutes and having car off. Nothing so far.

Next step is to pull battery and let sit overnight.

I've never heard of such a thing - can you post a picture of the screen?

Bumping this in case there is an answer. Becker wants $950 to fix.

That's crazy. I'm 100% speculating but I can't help but think there is some kind of button combo that flips the display.

Doesn't INFO and OPTION pressed at same time get you into some options.. might be something in there.

I would be slightly tempted to leave it like that.

I am very interested in the outcome. This is truly strange and I hav never seen it before!!

One thing that would be interesting is to get another unit, and swap it to see if it is the unit or the wiring before the unit. Lots of legwork though.

I would leave it like that. It's one of a kind, like a collectible item. A misprinted dollar bill will always worth more than its face value.

Huh, well, that's a new one.

Any chance the PCM has been modded, say with a NAV_TV or similar product to allow for a backup camera input?

From what I scoured in the last few minutes, some Audis have also had this issue - and it is likely the "display ribbon". If you are brave enough to take apart the PCM (like a user did on 6speed to replace his PCM 2.1 screen), then you could just salvage a ribbon from eBay or a dismantler store and just replace that component.

Same thing happened to my screen earlier this year. Shortly after the screen started to roll continuously. I decided to upgrade to a Pioneer headunit so never diagnosed the exact cause.
