I am curious why you need a diode hack for activating the fog lights. I have a US spec car and my DRL's were never activated for some reason. So when I want DRL's i just click the headlight switch over 2 spots and pull the switch out one notch = fog lights activated

What is this diode hack? My 911 is a Canadian car and I had SpeedStar code the DRL out and I spliced a couple of wires in the light switch so that the fogs will always come on in “home” mode. Easy peasy. I don’t remember which wires were spliced...

Saw this post on another forum. I've considered doing it myself, but will probably stick with the low-beams as my DRL's as my car is low and hard enough to see as it is.

this is pretty much the diode hack, the fact that the fogs come on when the lights are in home mode.

Speedstar does the coding for this? Is it the guys located on Bullock Drive in Markham?

This is EXACTLY what I want to do. I have a 987.1 and PCM 2.1 (so I have no access to the DRL) - I'll have to pick up a Durometric Pro and give it a go. Are there any links for the 'diode' solution?
Thanks!
