Found a nice 2007 997S in TX and worked out a deal with seller.
Really nice clean silver/black example w/54K miles. Lots of documentation and fellow RL member sold it 2 yrs ago to current owner - 3 owners since new
Clean Carfax - No paintwork, new tires, Clutch, Water Pump, Thermostat 750 miles ago
-Sport Chrono
-Short Shift
-Bose High End Sound
-My favorite 19" Lobster Fork wheels
Very clean with some other nice upgrades like Kennwood unit w/backup camera that replaced PCM unit .
*The other important aspect of this car is that it was born and raised in South Florida hot climate - Positive feedback from both RL member and recent owner is that there is no oil burn between 3000 mile oil changes
PPI being performed today and results back this afternoon. There was a PPI done on the car 2 months ago by another buyer who flaked - Over rev report was great on previous PPI but having it performed again for peace of mind
When Denny Aker is ready to sell his 06 C4S I'll be scooping it up and most likely selling this one but I want something to drive this summer.
Car does not have PSE so I am interested in feedback regarding Fister or similar exhaust upgrades - Got to have that sound!
I had to go read your other thread about selling the SC. I've only owned my first Porsche for 9 months and I love your signature, I think it expresses all of our dilemmas in owning these cars.
You should move to Idaho, everyone else from the Seattle area is
I did the Fister's last weekend. Very nice improvement.
Can you elaborate on where you purchased/cost and install - My indy will install
Any video of sound?
Most of my aircooled cars have had PSE which is the best throaty sound and nice to be able to turn off/on even though it was in "on" position 99.9% of the time
One of my 996C4S's had a FVD Brombacher Level 2 exhaust kit which sounded good
Before the fister mufflers my car had minimal sound. Added the fisters and all of a sudden it had a voice. Way better than stock, but then i added the 200 cell fabspeed x pipe.......NOW it sounds exactly how one would expect a porsche to sound. No drone, quiet at low rpm, and just comes alive above 3k
PPI was to be completed by now but still isn't finished.
Only starting to get a little pissed since I confirmed I needed it finished by 12noon - Seller even got it there extra early at 7:30am this morning
Shop is holding car for me for shipper so have to be on my best behavior.
I'll keep you posted on results when I hopefully hear from shop soon
Thats amazing. You move too fast. (You've also steered me away from my air cooled fascination.)
As for Fisters, they are awesome. One of my favorite mods. I had mine installed by Darren at his shop in the east bay, FD Motorosport. It took 1hr, just long enough to get somme fresh tamales from across the street. I think fully installed it was like $550 or something. He doesn't even use a lift to remove the exhaust.
He's also a stand up guy in the P-car community so I love supporting small businesses like that. Super attentive to any email or question.
