sport exhaust on '07 CS
Can someone help answer a question? On an '07 Carrera S with tiptronic and sport chrono, is the "sport" button for sport exhaust?

No = The button that says "Sport" (with image of shock absorber) is for suspension - The Sport-Exhaust button for the PSE(Porsche Sound Eshaust) is located in same area however it has an image of the "exhaust tips" and is also on/off button
The PSM button is the PASM suspension button as well
The PSM button is the PASM suspension button as well

Three Wheelin'
Unless you have PSE (you can tell by the 2 different sized tailpipes on each side and probably the previously mentioned button), the sport button changes the ECU map in a way that makes the throttle more sensitive and kind of feels like the timing is advanced but seems to net no real actual gains. This button also automatically turns PASM to Sport mode, which feels like your wheels turn into rocks. This does not have an effect on the standard S exhaust or the resonator in the intake from my understanding.

A 997.1 with Sport Chrono (dash wart) does not have a separate button for PSE even if equipped with it, just the PASM shock button and the Sport button. That's one of the problems with that combination in that you can't put the PSE into sport mode without also changing the throttle mapping to the twitchy sport mode too. With the suspension you can put it into sport mode by pressing the sport button, then press the PASM button to make the ride normal again, but the exhaust mode is totally tied to the sport button. Best combination on a 997.1 with a manual transmission is to get PSE and PASM, but not Sport Chrono. On a Tip, it's probably better to have the Sport Chrono option as it should also change the way the transmission shifts, but then no control over PSE if so equipped.
