Starter is a bosch unit and fairly easy to change. Coolant expansion tank is also cheap and easy to change, lots of threads here on that one. As far as the Coolant Pump ad Coilpacks???? My buddy is a Pcar mechanic and basically said he was doing the work and I wasnt going to argue with him for free labor.

Also as a suggestion for parts is RennPart -----> I have no affiliation except for huge savings and extremely satisfied with their OEM parts/shipping prices and fast turn around.

Welcome to Porsche ownership. You have found one of the best Porsche forums.
  • Search is your friend on Rennlist. There is an amazing amount of information available here.
  • RTFM numerous times and learn and play with all functions available in your car.
  • Let the oil temp warm up to 200F before going full tilt on the motor.
  • Watch the oil level on every cold start. Takes 10 sec before you start the motor.
  • Keep a note of oil consumption over miles driven.
  • If you have Sport Chrono Plus there are a number of setting you lose if you replace the PCM that can only be set with aftermarket tools such as Durametric Pro.
  • LA Power Bluetooth.
  • LN Engineering Spin-On oil filter adapter & Magnetic drain plug
  • Go to a local PCA AutoX and learn to drive the car.
  • Drive the car and enjoy every moment.

Welcome fellow Washingtonian!

Short shift kit or numeric shifter makes it shift better. Same with new cables and fluid. Can help with 1-2 notchiness.
How are the HVAC *****?
I found replacing the stereo speakers had a pretty good impact the stereo.
Autosocks: Chain alternatives that slip over the tires. Nice if you go over the mountain in your car.

Always up for a drive!

Sometimes I have an issue getting it into first, the hvac ***** look new, what speakers did you go with?

I plan on getting winter wheels/tires for next winter.

Any SR/HWY/roads I need to be visiting in Washington?

I agree, what I did with my Land Rover and Volvo, since they were both european, is I had a european plate custom made with same numbers as my regular plate and was never bothered about it.

I have learned a lesson and that is to never break two laws in your car at the same time. As I speed and front plates are required where I live, I will be leaving them on as I don't want to give the state patrol or cops another reason to mess with me.

Yeah the car would look better without them.

^^^^^ good way of looking at it. I have caught quite a few drivers under the influence whose driving didn't give them away, but they had a burnt light or tires sticking out of the fenders, so I pulled them over and their eyes and breathe gave them away.

In my 34 years of Porsche ownership in Seattle, I've never had a front plate on any of my cars
I've never been stopped by Police or any warnings/etc.

And let's not forget that 99% of laws are stupid and unnecessary and are designed to steal money from you.

Taxation is theft.

Went with focal speaker replacements, followed 6speed online thread. Google search will bring it up.

I like the drive out to Chelan. Take Snoqualmie Pass, then Blewett and then North on 97. Not many police and nice roads.

People talk about Chuckanut drive but haven't done it yet. Same with north cascades loop.
