When I sold my 2006 Club Coupe a few months ago, I got an offer and drew a straight line from one which had recently ended on BAT down to my car, which had higher mileage. It was reasonable and "real" data point, not some asking price on a car that had been sitting at a dealer for 210 days.

Not according to a couple of posters over on the "997 deals" thread. They claim that BAT isn't "real" pricing, as only bottom-feeders shop and bottom-feeder cars are listed; therefore pricing is much lower than "real world" pricing. I told them that this theory makes no sense due to arbitrage; the cars are as clean as any, and if prices were consistently low on BAT, then everyone would shop there and arbitrage out the price differences.
