I would say 28,900 for the macadamia. It wouldn't say beat up but like the seller said he didn't do much to it. I think this car was for sale here on rennlist awhile back. https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...wn-in-nyc.html
Wow - Never seen a car that's been "withdrawn" on BAT - Sounds like there were many mechanical issues
Post by seller:
I noticed a few issues when checking on the car:
– Oil leak in the back of the engine
– Steering fluid which has been topped off is rapidly draining, when I checked the sound at full steering wheel turns it’s making a characteristic noise
– Alternator (or one of the pulleys) are making a characteristic noise as well.
I will have all the above checked an addressed and the car may be relisted at a later date. Thanks
At least I know who I am dealing with now if I want to sell a 997 to you jokers. Just kidding. Doesn't take long to find the pieces of coal huh. I am very glad to have you guys on my side...yes?
So typical sometimes with cars that have poor owners - Never repair or service anything.
Not a lot of owners like this but you can always tell a dog when u start checking it out.
I remember years ago looking at 911sc for sale. Chain smoking owner - Disgusting smell/dirty and so was the car
The seller used his wife's nail polish to touch up the rock chips on front bumper and hood - Dark red spots all over the original Guards red paint.
Dumbass
Remember that BaT started out as an auction site where the winner was advised to "bring a trailer"! They do put up a few that harken to the initial model of the site from time to time, even some Porsches, like the one withdrawn. The reason that car was withdrawn was because some serious issues were apparently discovered and disclosed after money was bid. Created a bad situation. Now there would have been nothing wrong with listing it with the issues fully disclosed at the outset, and BaT likely would have insisted on a no reserve auction.
My favorite driver Porsche was my 1977 911s - Silver w/black leather and had the engine issues addressed with these engines: New Devlar head studs and 11 blade fan upgrade for better cooling
Also had the H4 headlights with color matched trim rings - Just an all around fun car to drive.
I can't imagine what a beast this car would be with a 930 planted in the back!
Here' my 77s before I installed the H4 headlights
