Congrats to floatingfish! I only see one 997 auction currently active and it ends in 1 day so it looks like it may be a while til we get to play again.

 

Wow! Congrats floatingfish. That was a very good deal for the buyer, or the 997.1's are dropping like stones. If the latter, then more enjoyment on driving mine, as resale value becomes less and less of a consideration.

 

Thanks everyone. What a deal for the buyer. That's a great car for $28k; a car you can drive and enjoy everyday. I even liked the aftermarket radio. I'll keep an eye out for the next 997 that gets posted; I haven't looked but I'm sure Wolfsburgde is right and it's slim pickins now on BaT for 997s.

It had 95k miles, that's a huge value hit. The 2005 C2S on the block tomorrow (with 23k miles) is already at $34,200 and it's a pretty basic spec with no upgraded IMS. The miles and average condition brought the value down on the one that went off today.

 

I have a 997.1 cab with 50K miles, 6 speed that I fitted one of my "4.0 Stage I Plus" engines to, after it suffered bore scoring.. Was thinking about throwing it on BaT in the spring, though I have a local guy interested in it now. I think BaT cars do a lot better in the spring.
I'm selling all my Porsche cars, except my 76' 912E, so the 997 will be the first to go. I hate selling cars these days, I end up keeping them just because I hate dealing with buyers.

 

Jake maybe you could just put it up on BAT now so we can use it for our guessing game? lol Would be an interesting auction for sure. On the topic of dealing with buyers, that is why I normally put my cars on consignment at a good local indy. Just ask enough to balance out the commission and let them do all the work. I have had good success doing it this way.

 

Comments did more than the seller to help that one along. I held off bidding due to codes it was throwing.

This 2006 Cameron red metallic I predict will be similar in price as the last car. I've seen this color in person and it looks awesome! I don't like the beige interior as well, doesn't age well. Gotta love that 6sp manual though. My guess $28,997
