Default Christmas gifts for Porsche 997 fan?

My husband loves this forum and all things Porsche - he has a 997.2. (Hi Hon - ignore this post and carry on with your browsing...) Please pardon my intrusion here, but I'm wondering if any of you have any Christmas gift ideas for a Porche enthusiast? Virtually anything in the $5 to $500 range....

Thanks in advance!

Don't know where y'all live, but I recently went to the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. They have a wonderful Porsche exhibit right now. A trip to LA to the museum would certainly be a great gift for any Porsche lover!

Not sure of your geographic location, but if you are in a place that has bad weather from time to time, the laser cut, form fitted Weather Tech floor mats are a great gift. They preserve the carpet, and keep the nice mats from getting dirty and crappy during the fall and spring when it rains a lot.

Following up on this theme. I got an extra set of 997 mats (Suncoast, I think it was) in a darker color that I use to keep the original mats (my interior is beige) from looking too egregiously dirty during our rainy season.

Other Porsche-relate gifts my wife has given me - (1) a full detail @ a local place w/ a good rep, and (2) a nice Porsche fleece that is perfect for those chilly AM drives in fall & spring. Both of these were via auction @ our local PCA holiday season party. We did the car museum trip once - Peterson was closed for renovation, so we did the Mullin museum in Oxnard.

Probably best gift was telling me that we could take a spring road trip anywhere I want to go within Texas in the 997 - I decided on a BBQ tour of central Texas. It was a long weekend, ~600 miles, weather was perfect, the company even better! These cars are awesome to drive, so just providing an excuse for an enthusiastic to spend more time in them w/ someone special is a gift in and of itself!

Porsche Design stuff is ridiculously over-priced, but I have one of these and it's really nice and very useful: https://www.porsche-design.us/Access...oku-Knife.html

Well one of the cheapest Porsche gifts I got was a webbing keychain, in yellow to match my PCCB calipers. Giftatitude.com (no association) charge $6.50, you upload a logo (find a Porsche logo on the web), pick the colors and away you go. A Porsche logo keychain that matches my PCCB's :-)

Cool wife! Leather driving gloves and embroider Porsche letters over each hand in color of his car.

I have a lot of Porsche apparel, golf bag, etc. I like it because when I wear it other Porsche fans start conversations about Porsches with me and I've met some great people with similar interests that way. There may be other things he's mentioned wanting for his car - a carbon fiber, wood, or alcantara this or that - shift ****, upgraded steering wheel, maybe a dashcam, a cool Porsche pen or watch. A model of his particular car in his color if they make it for his desk at work or at home. Lots of choices.

They make a larger cart style bag too, but I prefer this size.

Nice! It even comes with the Porsche price! haha I might gift one to myself as well. I agree. I don't use the larger cart or tour bags.

The obvious one I failed to mention may be seen in my rennlist avatar: my custom shift ****, handmade by a craftsman named Manuel. You can find one at the following link. Contact seller to design your own. Mine has my initials.

This may sound silly but I always love ca$h - Perhaps find a small 997 toy car or 997 related item and stuff some $100 bills inside
Always nice to shop for my own Porsche stuff or use the $$ for service items/etc
Happy Holiday!

If he is a PCA member, buy him a couple of tickets to win a 2019 Carrera Targa Coupe + $25,000 cash in the club giveaway. Tickets are $50 each.

If you want to be the best Porsche wife ever, however, up the range to $300K and buy him the 911GT2RS

Could you provide any more info on what 997.2 he has? Color? Is it manual or pdk? Does he work on it himself or take it the shop? Might help us give you more ideas
