Default Got my C4S back home---> New clutch/brakes/water pump/thermostat/oil & belt service

Up here in downtown Seattle I've been using Aker's Porsche for the past 30 years - 5 blocks from my home and one of the best in the business.
When I purchased my car this past June, PPI showed slight RMS seepage as well as needing front brakes.
I decided to have the following done before the winter sets in:
- Replace RMS seal, install new clutch - Flywheel looked good so left it alone.
- Brake flush, new front rotors/pads/sensors
- Coolant flush, new water pump and thermostat (160 degree)
- Oil/filter change and new belts
*Also had shop install my clear marker lights which makes car look so much nicer.
Have great weather today so headed out for extended drive - All the best!

I've heard good things about Akers. I take my '05 997 Coupe to Chris's in Redmond. They do good work there too.

Drove north to my boat in Everett and back home about an hour drive - Took some iphone photos of my car with the new clear marker lights on the way back in north Seattle at the Target parking lot which is always totally empty on top floor.
Beautiful sunny day here today - Car drove great and glad to have it back!

Looking good Groovzilla! Glad to hear she is in tip top shape again. Nothing like giving a little TLC to our 911's that bring us so much joy! I always miss mine while they are at the shop too

Clear side markers should be everyone's first mod - looks super I forgot what year your car is, but if a larger bearing car, while they had the trans off and the RMS removed, did you have them pull the outer seal of the IMS bearing too?

Ah, good memories. When I lived in the Seattle area, I made sure to include Akers on my lunchtime walk. It was always fun to see what was in the shop. Rare beauties mixing it up with daily drivers.

Sounds like you got some good preventative maintenance that will ensure many trouble-free miles! I'm hoping for a snow-free day in Boston to give my C2S a final run before hibernation.

Looks great! Nothing beats the feeling of getting the car back from a fresh service! Every time I get my car back from service I somehow feel my car is tighter and drives faster

Good question!! Yes they did replace the outer seal of bearing. Everything looked good!

Another thing I find interesting is that my previous 2005 997S and my current 2007 997C4S have original HVAC buttons in perfect condition.
I use the Temp/Fan buttons all the time and didso in the 05 car and they remain flawless?...What gives? Hers photo of my 07's buttons.

One of the lucky ones I guess. Mine are still good too. One thing on mine tho is the round ***** (not in your pic) are all sticky. Gonna replace those eventually.

I am new Porsche owner and I have replaced several little inexpensive plastic pieces throughout the car which is no big deal ….but it makes me wonder what the hell the previous owner was doing in that car. Odd things like back seat belt cover or back seat nut cover. ...mmmmm ...this could be a new thread I suspect.
