How many Porsche have you owned?

Sigh, I'm poor so just one I waited loooong time to buy. Plan never to sell. With prices not sure if will add porsche to stable, next addition will probably be Lotus Elise. If someone offers me sweet deal on P car I'll skip the Lotus .

Only on my fourth so hats off to the OP. Impressive to say the least. First one for me was an orange 1970 911T that I bought in the late 70's with about 25K miles on it as I recall it. Then a long gap due to work, work related training, relocating etc. where money became tight for a while. Got back in good financial shape just about when the 996 was introduced but it never appealed to me so bought a couple of E46 M3's while waiting for the 997. Those that followed are listed in my sig. Picture of the 911T is not mine but looks identical to what I had.

Currently with two (1986 and 2009). Eyeing my 3rd one in a few years but not considered a Porsche but a Beck 550 Spyder. Trying my luck at the lottery to get a real 550 Spyder, 356 outlaw build by Rod Emory and a 72 911 ST. Maybe a gen 1 Singer 911 as I don't like the door cards of the gen 2 but the 4.0L engine is eye candy.

I am on my second Porsche. I purchased and restored my first one, a 1977 Porsche 924, when I was 15 years old with my own money. I eventually turbocharged it and it was very quick. Up to 18 pounds of boost then the clutch would start to slip. That is the car I learned to drive stick on. I sold it to pay for a 2 year mission for my church when I was 19.
I then purchased my second Porsche, 2009 997.2, in Southern California this last February and drove her back to Texas. Best 1700 mile drive I have had. Love the car and so do my 5 boys.

Lots of awesome memories and great Porsches. Gotta say... that 99 996 looks super clean and sweet with that wheel and spoiler combo! Don't see very many in that great condition for almost 20 years old. good job!

I'm only on number 3 that I purchased. My first was a Guards Red 87 944 which I owned for about 7-8 yrs. I bought it at George Follmer Porsche. Serviced it at Follmer, Vasek and Andial. Loved that car but once my daughter arrived I had to be more practical. After a 10 yr hiatus I acquired a Guards Red 89 964 C4. SoCal car with Andial service history. I owned that one for about 13 yrs and I never thought I would part with it.
The 964 market exploded and while I never thought I would sell my 964 I did just that in 2017. It went to a good home and I moved to a Arctic Silver 2006 997S early in 2018. I do miss the 964 but I really like the more modern 997.
However there is another Porsche I own.
Back in 1971 my father came home with a unique looking yellow car. It was a 1968 Porsche 912 that he purchased from Vasek Polak. I was smitten with its looks and my father took me out in it for "Fun Runs" quite often. I quickly learned all about Porsche's and was hooked from that day on. I remember going to Vasek Polak Porsche and wandering the showroom with the racing cars.
After many years on the road the 912 was not running good and ended up in storage for 12- 13 yrs and deteriorated. My father regained his love for the car and together my father, brother and I restored this car to its full glory and it was back on the road in 2007. Its still in the family today and we hope to keep in our family for the long term.
