Default Back on the 997 saddle.

Hello to everyone, again. I just recently traded my Cayman GT4 for a well sorted (from PPI) base 997.1 C2 coupe, manual with 34k miles on it. Before the negative or positive reactions, I traded the GT4 for a more practical and financially sound reason. Anyway, I use to have a 997 C2S cab, then moved to a 991.2 C4s then a Cayman GT4, then to my most recent purchase. The Cayman was an amazing drive, better than a 911 in my opinion, and very easy to drive but I just couldn't justify paying the amount I was paying for something I didn't use that much, so I got back into a fairly base spec 997 C2 with far from perfect paint work so I do not feel bad using it regularly, not to mention I can fit a family of 3 and no car loan with it. I miss this hydraulic steering, something I missed with the last 2 cars I had. I am glad to be back.

I don't think anyone here will knock you for being financially responsible. Great C2. It is begging for spacers. Congrats and you did the right thing!

Considering I've always thought the Cayman looks like a "lil-midget", good move getting yourself into a 997 - After it's lowered w/spacers post some more pics

No comments at all on the 991.2C4S. Was it that forgettable?

It was red and very fast...it did not speak to me though.

That's a good way to phrase an unexplainable thing.

That GT4 looks divine. I think you’ll miss it.

The 997 is a great all rounder. Down the road jump into a GT3!
