Getty Design duck tail advice
Currently saving for a Getty duck tail however yesterday I had concerns of my Fabspeed Carbon Fiber Competition Duel Intake System. Does anyone have both a duck tail and Fabspeed Intake? Please advise is there are any concerns of driving in the rain?
Thanks,

It'll be a wash (no pun intended) haha
Since the factory spoiler has louvers and the ducktail has essentially an open drain with the mesh. Then add the fabspeed intake which has cone filters. It doesn't take much moisture to warp and twist those cone filters and I've warped an AEM CAI before. You might need a hydro shield.

I have a duct tail spoiler on my 997 now. And the Fabspeed intake with dual filters. I ordered a couple hydro sheilds and installed with perfect fit. They work great, and I dont worry about any water getting in the intake.
below is the model I ordered

Not to hijack this thread.. but isn't there any shop that makes the taller version of the ducktail (with the brake light), but one that just replaces the spoiler and not the entire decklid?

I have the Misha ducktail and have been asked the same question many times about water entry.
The ducktails are basically the boot of a GT3 without the top wing. The 4.0 has even bigger openings.
Porsche doesn't seem to worry about it.
