Default WTB GTS - high mileage

Looking for a high mileage daily driver in GTS trim. Anyone out there with one? I've seen he below as a possible example. What kind of pricing is out there for these high miles. Not much inventory at this mileage

Not much inventory, and most are running $70 and above. Grab that one if that is a clean car.

just might have to. 80k miles is just a drop in the bucket...my 275k Cayenne (original non-rebuilt engine) is still ticking....perhaps a ticking time bomb :-)

Agreed. Not surprised on the low examples of GTS with mileage approaching 100k. I'd say getting one of these cars for $60k or less is a good buy at almost any mileage you can find them with right now.

I am not understanding what is it inside GTS that you guys are willing to sacrifice so much. 100k car for $60k? The same suspension with a few extra horse power that you can't notice anyways (non meaningful on a track). Or obsession with a fact that you don't see the same badge on a back so often? I am not judging but rather trying to comprehend.

Options you can't get on a C2S like center-lock wheels, the very expensive to replicate head-work that leads to the bump in power, the rare nature of the first generation of the modern GTS, the wide body with rear drive (much better looking than narrow body cars IMO). The reasons keep stacking up, the better question is why didn't you spend the extra few $ to get a GTS when you had the chance?

It's the sum of the parts. WB, X51, RWD, turbo brake cooling, bespoke aero/exterior bits, bespoke sway bars from the C2S and other options as standard.
Also, there are few of them. That matters to some and not to others. It matters to enough buyers that it keep prices high.

It was really the only 997 I considered. Cool to know they hold their value so well. Not that it really matters as I don’t think I’ll ever sell it, just add to it.

I looked for over a year for a .2 GTS in meteor grey, if this car is clean, buy it! I would have gladly paid less for a higher mileage one.

As nwGTS said, it's the sum of the parts. I remember reading a review of the GTS in a car magazine when it was first introduced. The summary was basically along the lines of "Porsche isn't known for offering up bargains but add up what you get with the GTS package and it truly is a bargain by Porsche standards". The X-51 kit alone at that time was $17,000. Add to that the low production numbers, the fact that it's the only 997 wide body with rear wheel drive except for the GT3RS and the GT2 which both are at a completely different price point and you end up with a pretty rare bird.

You don't think the GTS deserves the premium it's getting but enough buyers out there disagree with you and that's all that matters. Just like the stock market. People buy stocks with both hands that you and I think are already crazily overvalued. You can question the marketplace but trying to fight it seems to have a low chance of success, at least based on what I've seen over the years.

Yep, the GTS is fabulous car and worth every penny of the difference we see in prices. A GTS with a factory aero kit and manual is what I want/need . . .

Let's just say manual/coupe GTS's are so hard to come by, I gave up and went C4S.

My 2 cents: If all checks out, it's a great buy in the low 50's. But, only if it's a manual. PDK is much easier to find.

Would love to have a manual but looking for a pdk- more practical daily since my daily drive includes stop and go traffic and long stretches of open windy roads
