Super Replacing the bulb is quite easy. The toolkit that comes with the car has the "allen socket" (not an allen key) to remove the headlight assembly.

Adding a halo or any DRL within the headlight assembly is full-on custom work. Some folks have done it, but it's a pain.

There are some readymade options though.

But the most popular option is to change the fog lights to an LED one and then have that as your DRL. Just search on this forum and you'll see

My HID upgrade looks to be a bit more involved as the modules I got don't fit within the assembly and I'll have to wire some of them externally.
But I did get to see a comparison of the 35W 5000K HID vs my half-dead halogen - it is literally a night and day difference!

Decided to do LED upgrades. Went with VIPmotoz red/clear rear lights, eBay front lights and side markers, with plan do to the DRL hack. After seeing enough pictures and reviews, I think this modernizes the exterior of the car immensely while keeping an OEM+ feel.

Just ordered the VIPmotoz. Anyone else confirm the brake light turns off when signaling?

Also, seems like eBay front signal lights will do the trick. Any issues with lighting errors?

Hi all, I'm also in the market for a set of LED tail lights to replace my stock ones on my MY07 997.1 3.8. Looks like the favs are Depo, VIPMotoz & Spec-D? Anyone tried the Nordlicht stocked by D911?
