Frunk release doohickey! Broken
Not even sure what you call it, but it's the latch you pull on to pop the frunk. Located driver's side, near the door sill. It's in front of the engine compartment release.
What's it called? Part number? Can I replace just the broken plastic bit? Thanks for any info and leads...T

When mine broke I had to replace that whole trim piece. Pretty sure it was $90 from Porsche, they had it in stock. Took just a few minutes for me to install. 99761310502A05. You can see a pic of it from Suncoast Porsche website under doors and door sills.

Googling "porsche 997 hood switch assembly" got me to some sources for the part, as well as installation advice.

A small 90 degree driver bit ratchet with a short driver bit works perfectly (see pics), and those 2 screws don't need to be fully removed (if I remember correctly from when I installed my CF door sills), just loosened to remove their grip on the flat part they tighten against so the inner door sill can slide up and out, unplug the electrical connector with the switch mechanism still installed in the sill and then you can work on it somewhere easier.

I bought this new from Suncoast for $103.88 including shipping. Can share original receipt. I took the car in for a full tip to tip service when I first bought it and my mechanic changed the switch out for me without knowing I had the switch as well, little mix up (can share that receipt as well). By the time I got the car back, the return window to Suncoast had closed. Just looking to pass it on at a loss to someone that might need it. Free shipping anywhere in the continental USA.
