hmm.. I'm interested in a group buy as well, but part of me is leaning towards a Bilstein B12 kit that already comes with Eibach springs.
I still don't know if my struts/shocks are shot to deem replacing. BUt with 90k on the stock struts/shocks, I think they need a refresh.

Here is a post I put together on DIY installing the Eibachs. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...r-997-1-a.html
Im almost a year in and they are great. Its amazing how much better the car looks, particularly from the rear. The ride and handling has also improved. On stock springs I would get a little ***-wag in high speed corners as the weight shifted. Thats gone with Eibachs. I've had minor issues with scraping, really no different from precautions on stock springs.
I would recommend 15mm spacers in both the front and rear. I have 7mm on the fronts and they still look tucked in compared to the rears.
Install is a hard job if you want to DIY, but can be done by anyone if you are inclined. I think my indy was going to charge $600 labor so I really didn't save much by doing myself. But im glad I did. It taught me a lot about the suspension and brakes.

I've asked a few shops around San Jose for the amount of labor to install and generally they're quoting ~7 hrs (alignment is separate). Labor rates vary from $160/hr (Indy) to $225/hr (Stevens Creek Porsche, my nearest dealer), so the price swing just for the install has been $1,120 to $1,575, plus alignment (generally around another $200).
Which Indy mentioned $600 ?
Thanks.
Karl.

That's a pretty good deal.

karl - come up to marin and use Scargo in San Rafael. It’s a man’cave for 911 guys. Great shop, great guys. We can hit the Marin back roads after :-)
And yes, alignement will cost another $125 and they will set the car up however you drive.

Eibach 7217.140 on 997.2 C2
Just installed Eibach part 7217.140 (1.2" drop) today. I like how it settled. Its not too low just right for my taste. Junipero Serra Porsche and Mercedes Daly City charged me 6 hours for the install including brake pads, cabin and air filter and alignment included. Another 2 hours to repair my door handle which was loose common issue (no parts replaced).

Here is how mine came. You can see in one of the shots the fronts need a bigger spacer to look flush with the rears. In another you can see mine vs stock S height.
