Default Techart Quality question

I know that overall, Techart makes some really nice stuff, but here is my question.

I am getting a new deckled spoiler, and I am curious if there is any body-fill necessary to finish? I read that you can deliver there stuff to a paint-shop and immediately paint and finish, but I would like someones experience. Thanks in advance.

No experience with Techart, but as a general rule, there's always finishing/fitting work to be done with aftermarket parts.

I have a TechArt Type III rear wing and love it. The body shop did the prep, paint and install. The tech said the fit and finish were top shelf, very little sanding needed. Yes there are cheaper parts out there but you pay for quality.

Sharkwerks has some Techart stuff available on their website. Maybe they will post their experience with fit/finish here.

Love your TechArt Type III wing! A little pricey but looks the best on 997.2!

For what I've installed (body parts included) they are a straight fit. All the prep needed was done by the paint shop, just some polishing.

TechArt stuff is great quality and doesn't need much prepping at all. My 997.1 came with a TechArt front lip, rear decklid spoiler (small version) and the rockers. I've since swapped out the rear decklid for the turbo one, put on the aero front bumper kit and put back on the stock C4S rocker panels. I just wanted a cleaner, factory look to the car...but TechArt does make some of the best quality Porsche body parts
