There is a clip to secure the chest portion of the seat belt so that the lap portion of the belt holds the seat down. You can see it in your photo. Look straight up from the belt buckle. It’s red, and at the too point of the triangle shaped hole through which you have the seat belt passing (sorry for such a poor description).

Be nice to be able to take her on drives once I finally find the right Turbo.
The Porsche ones work great in a cab. Local dealer should have them or order from Suncoast. Didn’t even take seat back or bottom out.

Google. Pretty sure I saw a YouTube video once on it. Super easy.

Take out the silver piece on the center console with an allen wrench

Doug H & Petza914 - thanks for the tips, I’ll try that when I get back into town. My son Max is itching for his first Porsche ride.

I use this in my 997.1 C4S for my girlfriends little boy. He is 6 years old. I like it because there is not a hard plastic base to cut into the seats, it conforms to the contour of the seat and it is rated as a "Best Bet" by the highway institute.

I recall not being able to get my child seat tight with the seat belt too, so i removed it. I put eye bolts in the seat belt anchor holes instead and secured the latch strap to it with threaded shackles. Worked perfect.

When I had a 997 Turbo the only seat that fit really well was the Britax Boulevard Clicktight. Because of the way it captures the seat belt, the forward position of the seat belt receiver doesn't matter much and I could get a tight fit. Oddly, it didn't work well at all in the 991.

I like that for traveling - we are going to Rome in the fall and then south - believe it or not - a Giulia is only $178 a week in Italy (must not be the hot rod version).

Even though the airlines transport car seats and strollers for free this is my son's 6th trip to Europe and I am tired of lugging all that stuff around.
