997.2 Tubi Exhaust- Who's running them
#16
Hey, for what it's worth, I have a Tubi exhaust and 200cel Cargraphics cat but on a 997.1...
Very very rarely and pops when warm, only on cold start
See my video below (sorry bad quality!, Skip to 0:55)

Petza,
Can't believe the before and after! Amazing!
I'm just beginning to consider (and research) changing from stock exhaust on my 2011 997.2 C2S to something louder. Do any of the sports exhausts out there (Tubi, Fabspeed, Sharkwerks, etc.) besides Porsche Sports Exhaust have the switchable baffle so you can go from loud to quiet mode?

If you're after aggressive sound, you'll love making the change to an aftermarket exhaust.
Here's a pic of my setup. I have equal length long tube headers, valved mufflers and 200 cell X-cats, all from Fabspeed.
and a video with a couple of drive bys with the valves in Sport mode.

They sound different during cold start because of the fuel trim enrichment the DME puts in to warm the cats faster for emissions compliance - that extra fuel is what causes the pops and crackles you hear, even at idle. They never sound as good once they're warmed up as they do when you first fire them up because of this.

That sounds more like it. It now sounds more purposeful and has an intent, rather than the pedestrian sound of std.

Yes, my Fabspeeds do, which they call Valvetronic, but they don't make those anymore for the 997.1, not sure about the 997.2 like yours. Others that offer the valved exhausts are cargraphic, Innotech, FVD, and I'm sure there are more. Tubi did at one time for the 997.1, but I don't think they do anymore - again, not sure about the 997.2 since I don't have one of those.

For those that have heard both the Tubi as well as the Sharkwerks, do you think the Tubi is worth 4x the price? I understand that is very subjective, but just wondering if I should just go straight for a Tubi and wait a bit longer, or buy a Sharkwerks right away and just see if it is loud enough. Having heard the Sharkwerks on a 997.2 Turbo, I thought it was too quiet, but once a full GMG went on it, I thought it was perfect.

That's for the 2 side cans and cross over pipe, clamps and cross over braces.
Perhaps if you're keen, order from here?

Maybe post the link to whoever sells a complete Tubi system for almost half of the cost in the US. Seems like the savings would be substantial even after shipping and customs are paid.

One is original other is replica. That’s why the site you linked to mentions ‘tubi style’

Don't base an exhaust decision on the sound from a Turbo. Turbos are much more muted because the exhaust has to pass through the turbo to generate the impeller speed that drives the forced induction. A Turbo will always sound more muted with a different tone than a NA car.
