Default 997.2 Tubi Exhaust- Who's running them

Hi All
Just curious to hear from those with Tubi on a 997.2 and what their thoughts are. I've just collected a cat back set today which is like to polish back to factory finish whilst they're off the car.

TIA

I had them and they were way too loud. And the brackets broke and I rewelded all of them.

Had it on the -09 C4S. Actually pretty quiet below 3,000rpm but above that very sweet. A little higher pitch than the PSA/SW combo but great sound. Make sure it's a .2 system with the crossover pipes. Read somewhere about a guy who bought a "Tubi system" for his .2 997 but only got the side cans. Either he bought a .1 system or whoever sold it decided to keep the x-pipes. The center muffler on the .2 is a curse and belongs at the nearest scrap metal recycling plant.

It's the full system with the cross over pipes. They're looking rough and I did a test patch with some Autosol to see how they would polish up, and they come back to a mirror finish. I'd like to get them back to factory before I put them on.
The only thing that is confusing me is that the seller gave me 2 bands(see pic) and I'm not sure what they're for. From all the pics I've seen, they look more like the can holder for the OEM 3rd muffler rather than anything to do with the Tubi system. If they do belong to the Tubi system, can anyone tell me where they go?
TIA

^ Yes, those bands were to support the stock center muffler. You will not reuse them, however, you may need to come up with some smaller bands to secure your Tubi center section to the original hanger. Not so much to support the weight, but to eliminate vibration sent back to the cabin.
You probably know this, but you will need some sleeve pipe clamps to join the center section to the outer mufflers. The factory clamps may work if pipe diameter is same as stock.

I've tried about 10 different metal polishes, including Autosol, and hands down the absolute best one is Sharkhyde.

Here are before and after pics of Fabspeed stainless Cayenne secondary cat bypass pipes and of the Fabspeed Valvetronic mufflers and headers on my 997 also bought used (except the X cats), and of my old FVD mufflers I polished up before selling.

That's amazing work. My plan was to use 0000 steel wool to get the crusty buts off and then polish. Could you give me a bullet point methodology you used to get that result? Any tools that you used ad well would help
I'll have to look for that brand on Amazon, as it's not one in familiar with here in the UK.

Cheers

I use one of the mother's foam polishing cones on my air drill and then do a final wipe and buff with a microfiber towel. It will sling a little with the drill so do it outside or put a dropcloth around the work area. I usually lay the dropcloth in the back of my pickup and work at the tailgate.

Thanks Wolf,
I figured that I'd be using the existing clamps and that the cross over pipes could fit to std side cans.
Until I get the old system off, I won't know. Fingers crossed.
I've never done this before so am learning as I go along. It appears that there isn't any exhaust paste on the slip on sections. Surely would need that to seal it or do the clamps seal it tight enough?

Porsche did not use any sealant on the clamps, but never the less, they all leak slightly.

I have the Tubi on my 997.2 and I'm in total love with it. I haven't heard any other exhaust sound as good as Tubi.

Great to hear. I'm looking forward to getting them on. From all the YouTube vids it sounds awesome.
Do you get pops and bangs on over run?

No pops but some bang when the PDK sifts hard. I love it!
