Default FRONT SEAT CAP. PORSCHE 986 / 996

How come this single piece of plastic costs over hk$1,000😰
I want a boxer red cap for the left hand side
any other shops with a lower offer?

i am using aron alpha to fix it
before i could find a decent replacement

any used parts online shops suggested ?

Mine is broken as well.


I actually don't mind the cost of the part (I'm in the US), but it looks to me like one has to pull the whole seat to replace it...

i am thinking of taking the cap and its stem out as i am pretty sure i can fix it using a piece of thin plastic sheet for reinforcement

If you are right i can not take it out myself😢

It sounds like your situation is the same as mine.

My cap was all chewed-up, so I refinished it, but when I went to try and remove the stem (to figure-out some way to weld the cap to the "tag" that it broke off from, I did not see any way to get it out.

Near as I can tell, there is some fastener holding the stem, and I could not even *see* what that fastener might be with the seat still in the car. Maybe one has to remove the seat cushion first?

If someone knows different, I'd love to hear about it...

Not seems to be complex but i think some sort of specialized tool not normally available at home is needed🤒
