Especially with that boat of a 64(?) Impala. Alway loved those, got to drive a friends a lot. What engine? That black cab is really gorgeous and the color helps minimize the lower black gasket that is so obvious on a lighter colored car.. Shame the silvers are kinda plain hence the RS stripes. I always liked them and it helped to break up the slab sides as well as accentuate the rear end while still being a bit more subtle. My daughter hates it..

Powerglide < Turbo 350 < 700R4!

I'm assuming that your 996 Turbo lives in the garage still?

2 speed power glide is still one of the most popular tranny's in drag racing!

Nah, turbo sits in the driveway, sometimes covered, usually not!

I'm thinking of dropping in a 200r4 as it's the same length as the powerglide...but then begins the slippery slope.....if i'm gonna pull out the original trans.....do I pull out the original motor as well!

but it is legit miserable on little 14" wheels with a 283.....it's screaming at freeway speeds!

They are Apex SM-10 wheels in anthracite, they are currently running another group buy here.

My sizes are:
Front: 18x9” ET46 with 245/40-18 tires
Rear: 18x12” ET45 with 315/30-18 tires

Couldn't be happier with the setup, and the price with group buy discount plus the Azenis tires from TireRack was a great deal for a performance wheel tire setup.

I think those wheels are gorgeous. Makes me wish I was in the market for a another set of wheels.
