Same here, and still miss it. It was a silver 1987 16V, picked it up right from the distribution center here in the LA area.
Owned it for 21 years before I sold it, after I bought the TT. My kids called it the "Porocco".

Love it. I had a 76 Sirocco. Basic car but still hot stuff in the day. Blue with tartan interior. Funny how that stuff sticks with you even when your garage hosts a 996 Turbo. Nostalgia, I guess.
By the way, I'd take the Dino as well !

Mine was decked out with a Bilstein suspension, Callaway turbo, 1.9 Huron head, Eagle cam, big TB, 87 Sirocco brakes and big Girling calipers, and a stereo that could bounce quarters on the roof., which in turn, may explain why my hearing is so bad now.
Yes, it started young for me and has never let up since.

Not new. I am not quite that old. It was, however, the classic car owned by a filling station owner's mom who literally used it to go to church. Plastic on the seats and all. Was probably a ten year old car at the time which was considered "fully used up" in those days. I did manage to keep a picture book of all the cars I have owned , which I enjoy re-visiting from time to time. My dad did the same thing. His has about 400 cars in it. Talk about a car guy!

My dad had a 1971 240Z that he daily drove forever - I naturally assumed it would be mine when I turned 16 in 1986. He sold it 2 weeks before my birthday. Immature me didn’t understand insurance rates with 2 teenage boys - and I’m sure I would have killed myself in that car given the chance. Wish I could find it now, but I’m sure it would cost A LOT more than it did back then.
