You hit the nail on the head. The way the market for certain 996 turbos is going now, you have to be all of the above, have finances in place, and ready to have an immediate PPI done. I think your last two are very important now; be decisive and quick.

I put down a non-refundable $1,000 deposit on mine within 8 hours of it being posted for sale on ebay. I spoke with the seller via telephone that morning, did some due diligence, then called back that afternoon to make an offer and put down the deposit. The sale was contingent upon my inspection of the car, but I would have lost it had I not offered the non-refundable deposit since the car was halfway across the country in New York City. As I had been studying the market intensely for 6 months and the car was exactly what I was looking for, I didn't need to spend a bunch of time mentally masturbating over it.

Pretty much what I did. Saw the car popup online and immediately knew it was the right combination. Didn't need to spend time thinking it over since I knew what was in the market from months of staring at various cars. Committed to the car within a few hours of it posted and gave a deposit.

I'm so excited to have this car. I sit in the garage staring at it, looking for any excuse to drive it somewhere.

Just curious on the extensive documented service history on a car with 6800miles? That's one oil change?? But it is a rather nice car.

If there was 1 oil change in 14 years, we'd have issues. Service was obviously time based, not mileage based. Trust me, this car was well taken care of.

Pretty much what I did. Except I ended up paying super top dollars for the flip of a flip with bad synchros

You can tell from the photos it's a nice car, and I'm not so sure you'd have issues with the oil being changed just once. I wasn't putting you down, I was just curious
