I don't believe there has been an Oxford Green M5 on BAT yet. I would go there, or put it on M5 board. Unicorn colors do well, especially if you have addressed the '00's "quirks".

That M5 and the silver TT w/ GT3 wheels both look awesome (and like good values).

Do you suppose they just painted the rear bumperettes, or a sign of more extensive body/paintwork?

Yep, nice looking, low mileage car asking under $50k.
Painted bumperettes are very common. I would not consider it an indicator of other paint or body work.

If VIN is the one on the Hood in the Image from the link https://www.carsclassic.com/inventory/details/48490707

Then AutoCheck reports no accidents and it being a Cali car. AutoCheck not the best. Shows several years where car was not registered.
Worth a look???

Yeah, that is a good buy unless there is something not there on listing that a PPI/DME report will uncover. I bought a 70k '02 with full history & some X-50 level mods for $10k less, but I'm about to spend $6k on a carbon upgrade.

Aside from the common-silver color, I would rather have bought this......

For the risk taker who doesn’t mind a branded title.

I'm actually considering looking at this car (Charlotte CL, above). There are several red flags, especially for a 996 noob like me but it's close enough to me to warrant a look. I wish I knew someone who could do a PPI on it.

Hmm, well, that's a LOT of car for sub-$30k money. If it is in good shape, it won't last at that price. Rebuilt title is a 20 to 25% hit on value. So, assuming you could snag it for $28k, that means the same car with a non-branded title should sell for around $35 or $36k. If the title were clear, I think that's a $45k car. The red wheels and Y-pipe setup might also scare some folks away. But, assuming the car is in good condition with quality repairs, I think it's a very good deal.

Agreed. If it was close to me I'd have to be handcuffed to not go take a look. Last time I went to "take a look" with my GF, we came home with something in meridian metallic..

My 996tt just got totaled. That blk 996tt in NC is actually pretty interesting. I learned whats the point of having a nice low mileage mint 996tt when someone will just crash into it :/

Anyone local to it

Losing a low mileage tt, due to someone else's lack of judgement sucks.. Hopefully insurance can somewhat ease the loss.. The NC craigslist tt for under 30k is definitely worth a look. At that price it's a great driver.
