Incorrect thread, but don't want to start another thread for this trash!

What would you pay for a 2001 black 6spd TT with a little more than 110k miles on her. Imperfections include...minor oil leak (location yet to be determined - but not main seal), needs struts and half shafts, some scratches, and prior track time. Car shows well overall, but def needs some attention. Leaning towards passing, but if the price is right it may be worth my while. At this time I am in the market for a driver, not a garage queen...

I would say if you can get it for 30k or under and are mechanically inclined yourself you got yourself a deal.

Thanks gents, I don't have the setup to do engine work, but could definitely take care of the suspension stuff. Buddy has a nice little setup to tackle moderate tasks...I think the car is worth about 27k as it sits, owner wants 32k, Carlo was spot on. Its probably worth a little more than I am willing to pay, but I am not in a hurry and with the amount it needs, I feel that 27k is the right number. The stuff I listed is just the stuff he has told me...likely needs some other stuff too.

Not big on the wheels or stock suspension, but looks like it's worthy of a phone call.

It's tough to find anything roadworthy as cheap as $27k unless it has a salvage title. Two years ago, I followed a Copart auction for a salvage title car with a tippy that would inexplicably go into limp home mode. The damn thing sold for nearly $25k.

Yes, if they parted out the car it could yield more money than the whole. $25-30k is right at that tipping point. The engine alone can be worth quite a bit.
