I'm very tempted to ask him if he would be open to taking to a 3rd mechanic to confirm the other mechanic's findings, or lack there of...then I would to proceed to offer him $30,000 less than his asking price.

That silver one has so many stories and the claim to be ultra low miles.....ummm no. The leather looks like it is about to disintegrate. Hell, my TT has 87k on it and aside from a few small blemishes (and I have almost all records from new) mine should be worth a TON more. Ad's written by dumb people.

More like simply inaccurate. $35k is a low price for a 996TT, but I don't know if I'd go as far as calling it a "good deal" with those issues. The seats look pretty rough.

I'd like to see better pictures of the seats before I'd say they are in rough condition. That Texas heat can be a killer on leather though. I'm more curious why a 997 trans?

Probably just a SSK and ****, but obviously needs to be clarified by any potential buyer.

That looks like the same car that was on autotrader for probably over a year. Price kept wavering around 31-35k on it. The autotrader ad definitely mentioned that it had a 997tt tranny also. Now it also has those ****ty wheels.

Yeah, those seats don't look bad for the plush or comfort leather option.

I'd bet a ton on it that the 997 tranny is just a 997 SSK.

Looks like a pretty decent deal, though, all things considered.

I'd be willing to bet that lemon law buyback for the fuel tank issue is unresolved though, as there are a ton of complaints in here from people with finicky gas tanks, mine included. Mine will fill up all the way, but normally requires inserting the gas nozzle upside down or something similar to go beyond getting 3/4 of a tank on a fill-up. I wouldn't be happy with that if I had bought one of these cars brand new.

I think so, yea... There's still 10% of me that would consider a cab, but I really think a good coupe is the way to go for me.

996TT in guards red looks so good. Seems like a decent deal for only 35k miles. Savanna beige interior really hasn't aged well though.

It's worth $50k all day as the ad says, but he'll take less than $39!

Just popped up a few hours ago...05 Turbo S - Manual Cab asking 38,900...low miles. Definitely a car that will need a PPI, if it exists lol...tempted to call him, but don't care to bother lol.

Edit* Just realized Hosewater2 beat me to it...
