Dyno results umw

Is it safe to assume that with the UMW flash + X50 package (k24's), that I could add around 30-40 more hp? I have the X50 with Kevin's flash. Couldn't be happier. Crazy fast. Just always wondered what my HP is now. 445hp stock. I'm guessing 525ish now? Exhaust and wastegates are next. Giddy up!

UMW tune K16 turbos 996T
Sometimes tempted by bigger turbos but K16s get out of bed so early they're ideal for tarmac rallies etc with frequent brake to gas transitions coming on and off boost through the twisties.
Figures like yours help me appreciate the turbos I've got, along with Kevin's awesome tune.
Did you have the front diff disconnected for the dyno run or was it a 4 wheel dyno? I take it yours is a manual?
Enjoy!

hate it be negative, but I can't see how it's at all possible to get 571wheel torque on stock k16's(like 100lb.ft. too high)...HP number seems optimistic as well but possible...have a dyno pull of the car stock on that dyno?
not trying to step on toes but believe in correct numbers.

Regardless, a UMW tune will wake a car up nicely and Kevin favours torque over power.

I have known the car since it was new and had been joking with the original owner for years about buying the car before I bought it 2 years ago.
I know the first owner well and he was well known by Kevin at UMW. I wish I had been lucky enough to get the car with a turbo upgrade but it's definitely running stock k16s

On our coarse chip roads it has done 0-60 in about 3.85 or so (0-100kph just under 4s) with a slow 60ft so am figuring it may do 0-60mph in 3.5 with a better launch on r-comps at a strip. I may actually run it there once or twice some day but won't make a habit of it as it is reportedly hard on the half shafts.
Regardless, enjoy your car for all its worth and thanks again for posting your results.

it bears repeating. the stock clutch is good for at least 500whp. especially with the gt2 disc. next step would be the sachs 2.5 but ya don't *need* that, for just a tune and bits.

The stock clutch doesn't hold my cars at 500whp.. I'm pretty sure that I have some "good" data with all my clutch sales over the years..
I don't recommend the stock pressure plate and a GT2 disk.. If you are spending the monies on labor to remove the tranny, you better off spending a little more money on the Sachs 764 pressure plate vs the 752.. This will allow one to upgrade to higher output turbochargers..

i wouldn't argue against either your experience or advice. i'm only pointing out what has been my experience. i run the stock clutch with gt2 disc ad dmfw and have never had slippage or undue wear. that i know of.
but again, i'd defer to you kevin, for obvious reasons lol
