If you look at one of the pictures that Kerrage posted. You can see the a "inner" tube in the exhaust tip. this is the tru diameter. The outer exhaust tip is a outer sleeve and NOT the actual tubing diameter.

The stock exhaust is restrictive. The RUF system is restritive. It is LESS restrictive than the stock system however>> the internal piping is still 62 to 63mm. If someone want a GREAT system. They need to remove the TWO endcaps from the tuning tubes AND most important, increase the outlet pipe from 62mm to 70 or 75mm!!!

Pete can tell "US" how many hours he spent in cutting apart the stock exhaust>> "X"??

Fwiw, when I had the RUF exhaust off of my car I measured the cats and they are 100 CPI, NOT 200.

Not every exhaust was built with 100 CPI.

JG, It wouldn't be a riddle if I just wrote the answer. Look at a few exhaust systems and look at how they are laid out.

Guys, I have replaced the front 200 cell cats with 100 cells, drilled out the rear 400 cells completely and removed the pac mans, its good but nothing like a RUF. Next step is to take out the microscopic through pipes shown in the pic above

Too much trouble to modify it to be like this one...which I have now...pls ignore those wheels, they'll be all orange for the next season.

D-I-Y moddedd copy of a RUF, to be exact. I had to move outlet cutouts to center when modding the OEM exhaust to center outlet.

Thanks Al

My addition to the thread is that I also have a RUF exhaust currently installed on my blue car and it is top notch. Kevin just wants to help sell speedtech exhausts in addition to his tuning packages so he sticks his nose in everyone's thread to push his personal agenda by knocking everyone else. I've sold and do have a some used exhausts and all I ever hear is nay saying and rhetoric.

Does anyone else agree?

FWIW (and I have no dog in this fight) Kevin is a standup guy. I have a SpeedTech exhaust on mine (which I'm very happy with) and Kevin is not too enthusiastic about it (he actually recommended another exhaust), so your theory is not correct, IMO.

If people (Al) don't want people to comment...then don't post it. Kevin recommended EP (not speedtech) for mine and have been very happy with it FWIW.

Case and point. Kerrage is trying to sell his RUF exhaust on this thread. Kevin interjects with his opinion on how money would be better spent by anyone looking at this thread with a product from speedtech. That's BS. That's not being a standup guy. Why doesn't he mind his own business?

I'm not defending him, but I don't see where Kevin recommends Speedtech. I know which one he likes best, and he's not mentioned it specifically that I can find.

Where do you see that?
