Well I got it and Wooooo Hooooo what a blast. Thanks Kevin, a lot for all your help in this process. It is really simple and I am basically a computer idiot so all cudos to him for his patience and expertise.

My car is like one of the first 996tts made so it posed a bit of a challenge but in one day Kevin had it figured out and I was ripping it up. I got me a new car! This is a must for this car; everyone gotta do it!

I will be taking it to the track next Friday and I'll really be able to see the magic at work. It feels actually more driveable and smoother than before so it should work great.

Thanks again Kevin, you da man...

Hi Kevin, I am interested in the data logger and 1 bar flash. I have just bought a 996tt with an unknown flash. Will PM to discuss further.

Kevin is a great guy and provides extremely good service. The UMW tune is wonderful; you will not be disappointed. Thanks, Kevin.

Default UMW Tune

Hi guys I'm really interested in this tune. Its seems like really good deal. To any guys who have had this tune has anyone got experience with other tunes (Evoms, Giac, FVD or Protomotive) and if so how they compare. Also to anyone who have had this tune have they had before and after dynos and if so what kind of HP increase did they get?
I have emailed Kevin and he seems like a great guy and this seems like a good company.

first things first, welcome, but as a newbi it is customary to post pictures of your ride!!

For the tune, I am in the middle of installing UMW tune right now, after having some other tune (brand unknown to me) That means I can't give you a UMW versus one of the others. Soome of the other guys will give you much more detail. I understand the UMW stage 1 will get you around 500bhp versus 420 stock.

My bad sorry. I just picked this up on Monday. Its a 2003 with 28000 miles, Carbon fiber interior trim kit -lowered -MA Shaw 996 GT2 front bumper -19 fully chromed Champion Motorsports RG5B wheels *Michelin Pilot Sport tires
This car is spotless thanks to its previous owner.

I had PPI done at Neillo Porsche and a few small things came up. However they said that the spoiler light came on and it has come on a few times since buying. On inspection the right actuator is leaking. Looking at options but looks like the fixed up option is the way to go.

The car is like a friggn gcart!!!

I had a 2003 C2 for a couple of years then went to a BMW M6 which was a beast, that V10 is amazing and it is faster than the Turbo!!! Thats why I'm looking for a good tune!

LA, congrats on the purchase it's a great looking car. I have had a few different tunes on my car over the years, and can say hands down the UMW tunes has been the best. The car runs great around town, and like a beast when the foot goes down. It's a noticeable difference over the stock configuration, you won't be disappointed!

ditto on the great ride. Fantastic looking set of wheels, the rear deep dish top notch. When I was looking at tune options, as you are, the majority go for the UMW, Kevin has a great reputation, and I know he takes the time to make sure your tune is individual to your car. As you mod, he can keep tweaking too.

Enjoy

A little twist this time, for those that have purchased new cars with unknown tunes, AND for those that have a brand "X" tune and would like to change to Ultimate Motorwerks. The cost will be less than the $975.00 Please note that certain tunes with multiple soldered chipsets will require other options. Please email me Kevin@Ultimatemotorwerks.com to discuss your options.
Hi Kevin,

I have read lots of your wonderful work.
I live in Melbourne Australia and just wondering if l can purchase an ECU upgrade for my car which is a completely stock standard 2003 996Turbo.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers

Jim, feel free to email me. I have two methods that will allow for long distance OBD2 tuning. One being my slave programmer, and the other being my datalogger.

Datalogger info..

laturbo - unless the M6 had mods there is no way a 4200lb car with 500Hp and 383 lb ft of torque is going to beat a 3200lb car with stock 415 and over 410 lb ft of torque. The P car has less lbs per hp with more torque.
