UMW flash.

What it does to your car for the price cannot be overstated, and Keven is helpful and cordial. Car is just as driveable, gets slightly better gas mileage, and you get extra hop all through the torque curve, so its not just a top speed thing.

Hmm.... really depends. For me, I would like a little more "get up and go", so I would get a flash. Affordable (compared to other mods out there), adjustable and has different capabilities like data logging.

Like you said, you are not interested in speed. Do you like the way it sounds? Do you like the way it sits or handles? Do you like the wheels on it? I would start looking into exhausts, suspension setups (lowering springs vs. coilovers) and different wheels.

So if it were me and I wasn't interested in speed, I would go for a different set of wheels.

I would do suspension 1st, the car has enough power stock.

^^agree. The suspension is probably weaker stock than the engine.

Get some used coilovers (PSS9s?) and with the money saved over new, get flashed! You'll have a different car!

997 SSK. The shifting will feel like a sports car...short and tight.
Besides that,I've learned from this forum that any other mods you do will eventually end up costing you more money, affect resale value etc. For example...a flash will eventually lead to you having to change your clutch earlier, then you'll want bigger turbos, then a better exhaust etc....all meaning more money $$$.
Do not get fooled with statements like ' this is how the car should've rolled off the assembly line '.
I apologize if I offended anyone,it's just my opinion.

997 ssk if I had to pick one. Coil overs is another good option.

Depending on budget...

Suspension (X73 if you can find one)
Brake upgrade
SSK
Stiffer motor mounts (included with X73)

Me personally, it would be adding BT/Ipod... That's exactly what I'll be adding to my GT3 when it arrives within the next week or so...

X73

(I'd add the B&K shifter with the EVOMS billet shift linkage to because it doesn't cost very much and really improves the way the car shifts).

Good set of coil-overs with proper spring weights for the type of driving you intend to do. I like the JRZ double adjustables with gas canisters.

Bone stock '03.
How come no one has suggested the coolant fitting modification to preclude failure?
I'm new here, just wondering why this wouldn't be higher on the list than say...ssk, ipod cable, or flash?
