The tune gives the most bang for the buck enjoyment and really changes the way the car behaves. Next would be at more expense adding PSS10's..

Just to give the range of price options. At around $350 you can get a 997GT3 shifter. At $975 you can get a Ultimate Motorwerks tune. PSS10's will run you around $2900 plus install.

I personally don't consider it enough of a threat to be in the top 6 mods list. .

Not a street car but if your going to do any track events. Do it for the rest of us please! I don't care if you go off into the wall but I don't want to hit your puddle and also hit the wall.

Personally I would go do the suspension, I find the stock suspension a bit bouncy for the amount of power and weight it has. It's just to loose.
Dropping it down from SUV height to improve the looks and to improve the handling.

Why just one mod? Kind of hard to compare as some mods costs a lot more than others. Being budget minded, I went with a 997 SSK and a flash. I skipped the BT/Ipod integration since I don't drive it much. However, I did spring for the chrome hood emblem and the newer key cover. I also changed out my amber turn signals (I would have to say that was my first mod).

I would wait on the coolant couplers until you need a clutch replacement. When my GT3 does, the fittings will get welded. and I don't see this as just a track day mod.

Suspension for sure. Drop the car to euro height or lower. Use good suspension like pss 10, motons or even a simple h&r springs w/ bilstein shocks.

Helps handling and keeping the power down, especially of you add more.

I agree with Kevin. I've done the UMW sw and suspension upgrade. Both were big game changers for me.

He said he didn't want more power, but that will change. Just give him a year?

Best bang for the buck, was the UMW tune. No question. The suspension was expensive, but really transformed the handling. Even on a cab.

I did the suspension first. I think I got lucky and got one of the last x73s that was available.

A year! How can you ever not want more power? The more you drive, the more you want. I am REALLY happy with UMW stage 2 plus Europipe, but...

That's next year when the CPO expires.

I think of it as a speed governor. LOL. I'm learning as I go since this is my first Porsche. Being forced to take my time is a good thing in the long run.
